Who We Are
Child’s Home (Casa da Criança) is a philanthropic entity and partnership between the ministry of Righteous Generation (Geração Justa), and A.A.M.E (Associação de Apoio ao Menor – Association of Support of Minors). Child’s Home (Casa da Criança) does not have denominational ties, does not receive governmental help, and is maintained through social contributions and donations.
Our Vision
To offer children in a state of risk, a home where they can experience what it is to be a family, and where physical, material, emotional, and spiritual necessities are met.
What We Believe
We believe that through a home where basic necessities can be supplied, and where there is love in reference to family, children develop in a healthy manner, and in turn develop into citizens of excellence.
Our Commitment
Child’s Home (Casa da Criança) has the commitment to:
- Give complete assistance to children, through education, religious instruction, beneficent actions, and in orientation and other needed assistance.
- In the health sector, we regularly facilitate the access and attendance to the doctor, which also helps combat occasional sicknesses.
- In the education sector, we provide access to the basic education needs which are necessary.
- In the moral sector, we give the children a religious and spiritual formation, which is indispensable in the foundation, and personality of a child.
- In the area of material needs, we offer the children the elements which are essential to their material development; food, clothing, and school supplies.
Our History
In 2008, a young missionary couple, Luan Vitena and Ester Vitena, were invited by Pastor Tim Ball (who at the time, was president of the ministry Righteous Generation (Geração Justa), to study in the International Institute of Teaching - Geração Justa, and to work in the office of the school. During this period, the couple had the opportunity to work on the project - Child’s Home (Casa da Criança). In 2009 they were sent by Righteous Generation (Geração Justa), to reside the the orphanage, as voluntary parents of the minor children.
Luan and Estar came as acting missionaries in the field, since 2007, from the Baptist Church Good News Missions for the World, in the county of Amado, in Bahia.
Our Routine
All of the children at the home go to school regularly, and have receive good grades and good marks in behavior.
All of the children have access to psychologists, social assistance, doctors, and dentists.
At home, they have accompaniment with school, and extra curricular activities such as dance and theatre. They also have activities at home which guide them in discipline, organization, and care of their belongings (from the time they get up, until they time they go to sleep).
All of the children go to church on Sundays, and the Child’s Home participates in a home study group.
